What a CELEBRATION we had last week!

🎀 What an AMAZING Celebration of Strength and Hope last week.

🎀 We are so grateful to our sponsors: Mecklenburg Radiology Associates, Coke Consolidated, The Cannon Foundation, and Scott Clark Toyota.

🎀 Thank you to our evening supporters: The Aloft Hotel Ballantyne, Cabo Fish Taco, and Sweet Treats by Robin.

🎀 Thank you to our amazing Pink Bow Advisory Board, our tireless volunteers, and each and every one of you. We honor the fighters, the survivors, and thrivers! YOU are our WHY!

🎀 A special thank you to Dr. Amrita Devalapalli with Mecklenburg Radiology and Dr. Catherine Moore with Novant Health for providing a Q&A session for our guests.

🎀 Our speaker for the evening

– The incredible, inspiring, and MBC Thriver, Tammy Vanderjeudt. By sharing her story and the impact of The Pink Bow Campaign, she taught us the real meaning of the word “Community!”

🎀 We are thrilled to announce a donation to our main beneficiary, Go Jen Go in the amount of $35,000. These funds help the emotional and financial burden of a breast cancer patient.

🎀 We are also thrilled to announce a second donation to our second beneficiary, The MBC Travelers in the amount of $10,000. They provide bucket list vacation trips to breast cancer patients.

🎀 And stay turned for more exciting partnerships and a greater community impact in 2026!

XO,

Robin Saddler

A Celebration of Strength and Hope

Join us for a powerful community gathering as we celebrate the lives touched, the stories shared, and the hope created through the Pink Bow Campaign. This event is more than a moment – it’s about the impact we’re making together.

We’ll come together to honor fighters, survivors, thrivers, and supporters, reflect on real stories of strength, and celebrate a mission rooted in compassion and action.

Together we are making an impact – One pink bow at a time!

End of Year Giving!

As the season of giving and reflection continues, The Pink Bow Campaign thanks you for helping make 2025 a milestone year. This year marked our fourth anniversary and almost 80 neighborhood supporters in and around the Charlotte area.

We are reminded that The Pink Bow Campaign exists today because of the support from the community. Your generosity has helped us to raise funds, support, and awareness for breast cancer patients, survivors, and thrivers.

Your support makes a direct impact to our local community. Donations directly support The Go Jen Go Foundation, MBC Thrivers, MBC Travelers, and the additional programs that keep our mission moving forward.

Thank you for helping The Pink Bow Campaign to support breast cancer patients, survivors, and thrivers. In the last remaining days of 2025, please consider making a gift to help anyone affected by breast cancer.

Please join us on January 22nd for our Celebration Event! More details to come.

International Metastatic Breast Cancer Day

October 13 is International Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day. In a month that is already pink, you may wonder why metastatic breast cancer (MBC or stage IV) needs a day of its own. Unlike early stage breast cancer, patients with MBC:

-have breast cancer that has travelled beyond their breast to their bones, lungs, liver and/or brain.

-May have successfully completed treatment for early stage breast cancer.

-Are in active treatment for the remainder of their lives.

-Do not live with “if” their cancer will return, but rather “when.” Cancer becomes resistant to every treatment we currently have. When cancer grows, patients change treatment until there are no more treatments available.

-Are living longer thanks to research but still facing a terminal illness. Breast cancer becomes life threatening when it cannot be controlled in an organ, not the breast.

-Identify as “thrivers” rather than “survivors” as there is no cure.

-Embrace the colors teal (for healing), green (for life) with the pink that is breast cancer. This combines the shared experience of having breast cancer and the uniqueness that is Stage IV.

The Pink Bow Campaign proudly stands with and lifts up MBC Thrivers. We incorporate thriver colors into our bows to show support and give to the MBC Travelers to help them create community.

Happy Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is a celebration dedicated to appreciating all mothers and maternal figures wherever they are in the globe. This day is perfect for showing gratitude and expressing thanks for the support and sacrifices mothers give their children.

Mother’s Day is very special to me – that’s because every year around Mother’s Day my mom, my sister, and I travel for a girl’s weekend to the beach. No boys allowed!  We laugh, eat, and enjoy the ocean. We celebrate my mom!

If it hadn’t been for a breast self-exam, we might not have this time together. My mom is a 25-year breast cancer survivor. She is my best friend, my cheerleader, my champion, and my biggest supporter. She is the most genuine and giving person on the planet and would without hesitation give you the shirt off her back.

I know that early detection saves lives. At the age of 57, my mom found a lump during a self-exam. She was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer. During menopause she took hormone replacement therapy, and we believe it resulted in hormonal breast cancer. After a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation, she conquered breast cancer and inspired me to try to make a difference in our local community. That’s why I founded The Pink Bow Campaign, a non-profit organization raising funds and awareness for breast cancer. The pink bows are a symbol of hope and strength, a visual reminder to schedule your annual screening mammograms, and reinforce the message that early detection saves lives. The campaign offers pink bows for individuals, businesses, neighborhoods, teams, and schools to show support for those fighting breast cancer throughout the year.
